Curricula Descriptions
Executive program
Seattle University’s Leadership Executive MBA (LEMBA) program delivers a rigorous, integrated, inter-disciplinary curriculum over a 6-quarter period that develops leaders who enhance their organization’s performance and strategic positioning for global success and impact. Coursework is both behavioral and analytical in nature, and is sequenced so that each quarter builds on concepts from the previous one. Quarterly themes are Executive Leadership 1&2, Instruments for Organizational Effectiveness, Strategic Positioning for Global Success, Enhancing Business Unit Performance and Leading for Impact and Legacy. The design helps students develop an integrated business framework to examine business problems across functional, organizational and cultural lines. What sets the LEMBA program apart is a unique leadership curriculum. Powerful experiential learning coupled with an opportunity for reflection on perspectives, assumptions, beliefs and values helps students align themselves personally and professionally with the needs of their organization. Students leave the program with enhanced skills and tools needed for effective management, but more importantly, the self-knowledge and awareness that allows them to lead with authenticity and deliver the greatest impact. Graduates consistently report that even many years later, Seattle U’s LEMBA program, with its holistic approach to forming influential business leaders, remains one of the most transformative experiences of their careers.
Part-time program
The Program develops strong business competencies through an integrated, inter-disciplinary core. This consists of a nine-month sequence of behavioral and analytical coursework, typically taken concurrently. Each sequence develops in students an integrated business framework by examining business problems across functional, organizational and cultural lines.
