YWIES Shanghai Lingang was founded in 2015, offering primary and secondary programmes mainly to Chinese students. It boasts more than 130 highly qualified teachers from all over the world, including residential hall teachers, with the ratio of Chinese and foreign teachers at about 1:1. The current student body amounts to 650. YWIES Primary and Lower Secondary programmes integrate the best essence and practices of both Chinese and Western education, lay emphasis on critical thinking, creativity, teamwork and problem solving. In addition to Chinese, Mathematics, English, Music, PE, Visual Arts, a great number of featured courses are provided, including Drama, Orchestra, Spanish, and so on. Cambridge IGCSE and A Level is offered at Upper Secondary. The school offers nearly 200 Co-Curricular Activities, including popular sports like Equestrian, Sailing, Kayak, etc Graduates from YWIES Lingang have been accepted into renowned universities around the world such as London School of Economics and Political Science, University College London in the UK; University of California, Michigan State University in the US, etc.

Co-Teaching Model:Based on the themes that students are studying and through extensive pre-class preparations, the teaching team comprising Western and Chinese teachers discusses the teaching methods and content to work out a teaching plan. Through flexible Co-Teaching, they can learn and draw inspiration from each other.
