上海平和双语学校成立于1996年9月，是经董事会上海金桥集团批准成立的一所完全独立运营、财务独立的寄宿制学校。2001年获准招收外国留学生。2002年9月，学校在高中开设了国际学士学位文凭课程。
Shanghai Pinghe Bilingual School is a boarding school established in September 1996 with full operational and financial independence authorized by its board of directors, Shanghai Jinqiao Group. It was authorized to take overseas students in 2001. In September 2002, the school launched the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in the high school section.
