Georgia summer programs and camps are available for students and can provide them with the opportunity for productive experiences during the summer months. Summer programs in Georgia are held in locations around the state in places such as Athens, Atlanta, Kennesaw, Lawrenceville, Milledgeville, and Savannah. Many of the summer programs take place on university campuses, which provides students with a chance to gain experiences in a college setting. The programs can also give students the opportunity to study topics of interest, build on their learning from the school year, meet peers from different places, work collaboratively with others, gain hands-on experiences, and examine potential college majors. Some of the programs have specific areas of focus such as art, computer science, engineering, financial literacy, music, and science and technology. The programs vary in length. It is recommended that students examine summer opportunities carefully and contact a program representative to ensure that a potential program aligns with their goals and interest.
